Calculators for bottle splits, samples, fireballs, blended mash bills and pour weights.
Split one or more bottles into equal pieces. Every bottle is split the same way, and each person gets a set: one piece of every bottle.

Each bottle
Pour bottles into samples. Each bottle can have its own sample size and amount. With more than one bottle, each person gets a set: one sample of every bottle, shipped together.

Cost per sample by size
What one sample of each bottle costs at every size (liquid + container, before shipping), and how many full samples it makes.
Liquid cost: the bottle’s price for the amount sampled, divided by the full samples it makes (any leftover pour is absorbed into the samples).
Price the spots for a fireball. Spots are priced in whole dollars and cover the bottles plus each bottle’s shipping.

Whole-dollar spot counts
Enter each mash in the blend with its share of the blend and its grain percentages. The weighted mash bill updates as you type.
Weighted mash bill
Predict the density and weight of a pour from its ABV or proof and its volume, at 20°C and 25°C, from the Bureau of Standards reference tables. Handy for splitting by weight on a kitchen scale.
Enter an ABV between 0 and 100 (or a proof between 0 and 200) and a volume above 0 mL to see results.
Data: Osborne, McKelvy & Bearce, Density and thermal expansion of ethyl alcohol and of its mixtures with water, Bulletin of the Bureau of Standards 9(3), 327–474 (1913), Table XLIX, as reprinted in Bureau of Standards Circular No. 19, Standard Density and Volumetric Tables (6th ed., 1924): Table 1 (density at 20°C and 25°C for each percent by weight) and Table 6 (percent by weight for each percent by volume). The Bureau of Standards is now NIST. The Bottle split calculator uses the same tables.
